Monday Motivator: Art isn’t Trivial

“The future feels acutely uncertain in this moment. More of us feel closer to death than we have ever felt, but it is possible to live vibrantly, even near Death’s shadow. Friendship, compassion, generosity, and caring cast the brightest light.”

Hiromi Goto, Author’s Note in “Shadow Life“.

Amidst the chaos of life, making time for art isn’t trivial. Creating something that didn’t exist before, from a few materials, with our hands and minds, isn’t trivial. We are but specks in the universe for a blink of time, yet we have the ability to create beauty, to spread joy. Choosing to do so isn’t trivial.
